Sailing Adventure Begins with Lots of Preparation and Planning

Rand and Ellen are embarking on a new and exciting journey, which is to sail the seven seas, live off the grid relying largely on solar and sail power, and circumnavigate this beautiful planet of ours.

Such a trip needs a lot of preparation and we will not "splash" for quite a while - at least a year or more. Meanwhile, we'll keep you updated on preparations, which may be of interest to others contemplating a similar adventure.

We don't have our boat yet, and finding a boat that is safe and comfortable and affordable is a big undertaking, but we do at least know what we will name her (or rename her) "Golden Glow," which is a term of significance and joy for us.
