After an early morning start we headed up the mountianeer's route to Mt. Whitney. We were fortunate enough to have Hallie charging the lead. We went to 12,000 feet and stopped at a lake, took a swim and then headed back down the hill. Hallie continued to the top and finished the day with another summit on her completed list. Ellen and I after having bagged the top last year, were happy to just lie in the sun and swim in alpine water above the tree line.
